There are some great activities you can participate in this year at LA Decom.
BURNER BIZARRE: (#10 on the map) Do you have bins of old Burning Man costumes that you will never wear again? 1/2 done projects that didnt make it to the TTITD..again? Or a closet crammed full of 90's clothes and shoes that you will never get back to wearing? Please bring all of it to the LA Decom Burner Bizzarre Costume Give Away booth! All gifting, all for the masses, all from you! Nicollette and Lulie are collecting NOW for the booth -- we have the space, racks and hangers, and we need the community's stuff to dress the un-costumed that attend the event. Bring mens, womens, xgendered and kids clothes. Also accessory's: hats, scarfs, jeweler, magic wands, etc. to the event with you, or contact us if you want to drop stuff off at our garages before the event ( one in the valley, one on the westside) Accepting drop offs till September 29th. After that you would have to bring them with you to the event... It's the happiest booth at the event-- you should see the shock and gratitude when virgin, yahoo and crusty old Burner alike all find the perfect costume piece for their day in the park! Thanks for taking the time to gather a bag or 2 for us to gift to all! Lulie & Nicolette thanks! Lulie All remaining clothing will be gifted to MY FRIENDS PLACE. ORG

Family Love Village's (#23 on the map) mission is to connect and support families and caregivers locally to practice and learn more about conscious parenting. Information, resources and support allow families to develop their main focus on a gently guided approach to communicating with their children, as well as the ability to make natural, holistic and eco-friendly decisions. Our community consists of FLVillagers of all backgrounds, race, religion/spirituality and socio-economics. Our ultimate vision is to birth a conscious movement by co-creating villages globally in order to build a sustainable world that not only our families, children and caregivers can presently benefit from but for future generations to come. FLV's EAKK! (EcoArt Kids Kollectiv!) Program is designed to not only create fun kids' activities but to educate and encourage families to make their own art projects by using reusable and recyclable items that support sustainable living rather than buying into the consumerism of the "newest, shiniest plastic toy"! The FLVillagers will be taking several items from the above resources and creating fun activities and arts and crafts projects that not only the whole family can enjoy but feel good about too! EAKK! LOUNGE * Hat and Mask Designing 2-4:30PM * Instrument Making 2-4:30PM Family Love Yoga with Crystal D'Angora - 3-4PM Crystal D'Angora combines her many years as a Pilates and Kundalini, prenatal, and children's yoga teacher with her new mommy-hood and love of movement to help you find the joy of movement in Your body. You will enjoy structural re-alignment, balance, flexibility, and strength in an easy-going environment that puts your role as "mother" first! Crystal will use methods created by Joseph Pilates to strengthen and lengthen your entire body with emphasis on core muscles, as well as Kundalini techniques taught by Yogi Bhajan. This class offers parents a fun way to rejuvenate, play, and bond with baby. Inclusive exercises are proven to improve babies' proprioceptive and developmental awareness while mommy and daddy enjoy a pleasurable workout! Website: www.lightleadersyoga.com World Citizen Baby with Sarah Peters 4:45-5:15PM Sarah Peters is the creator of World Citizen Baby. Her passion for global community, world music and multilingual families led to the creation of World Citizen Music. She plays guitar, banjo, djembe (African drum), flute, bodhran (a Celtic drum) and berimbau (Afro-Brazilian instrument) in class. World Citizen Baby (WCB) is a parent and child music and movement class designed to build a larger understanding of our global community. We playfully explore different musical traditions using call and response singing and drumming, and instruments, movement, and languages from around the world, while giving parents and children a place to grow and develop their own personal communities. This will be a 30 minute WCB jam, encouraging families to participate in the music making process. This workshop is geared towards babies to 5 yr olds, but all are welcome to participate. Songs will be sung in several languages, including English, Spanish and Portuguese, with easy breakdowns so all can participate regardless of their language skill. website: www.worldcitizenbaby.com FAMILY PARADE with FLV & APPH 5:30-6PM After all the EAKK! projects have been made, the children get to show off their eco-creations to all the folks at LA Decom with a fun parade! FLV will lead the parade with their very own Chinese lion along with the families and other fantasmical characters! 6-7pm Family Potluck Join Art Predator Play House and Family Love Village for a yummy potluck after the parade. If you are wanting to join us, please bring the following: Your own dishware to stay green A healthy meal or side dish to share We ask that families participating in the Family Potluck, please clean up after yourselves. Leave No Trace. Thank You. FLV LOUNGE 1-6PM The Family Love Village Lounge will have FLVillagers present to answer any questions that families and passerbys have regarding our organization. We will provide a safe haven for mamas that would like a more private area to breastfeed or change their lil ones' diapers.
